CCC camps

Sorry for the confusing reference. I was referring to the fact that my uncle was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 30s. In this part of the country they were called CCC Boys or CCC campers, as they lived in barracks and built many state and in some areas national parks etc. Part of FDRS alphabet soup programs to get the country out of the depression.

Dave, in Gooseberry Falls State Park in the North Shore of Minnesota there are some beautiful brownstone shelters they made. The incredible work they accomplished is all over the country.

Totally off topic....

Okay, you got me again Dave. What's a FDRS and what's a TVA?

You're right, off topic. But the CCC did indeed build some incredible parks during the depression. Garner SP here in South Texas is one of my favorites.

This is why I don't care much for acronyms! They only make sense to those in the know.

The J is an initial not an acronym. Similar to the g in gbaglo

So no sex, unless you're hitched.

Had to get back to hitches somehow.

I'm just pleased that you understood what I meant.

Really, if the letters become a word or remain just a bunch of random letters the message is useless if the reader is not in the know.
