Yes. I cut a piece of scrap 2X2 about 15" long and drop it into the stake rail pocket to use as a grab handle when climbing up. Without the handle it's still no problem going up and down. Have a piece of cord with one end attached to the 2X2 and the other to the tie down loop just inside the bed so the 2X2 doesn't wander too far.
