Looking at another tow vehicle option as my 5.0 V8 F150 Supercab 6.5’ bed wheelbase is too long to pull the camper out of the backyard without the use of a garden tractor to make the required 90 degree side yard turns. It’s a long story but it takes about an hour to get the Escape hitched to the truck. My son’s Bronco can just backup to the trailer tongue with it’s short wheelbase and tow it away in minutes.
I am curious if the 180 to 190 horsepower Bronco and short wheelbase makes a good TV.
It’s rated to tow 7,000 lbs. but seems way underpowered compared to my 365 hp/400 ft/lbs. torque F150 rated to tow 7,800 lbs. Looking for some real-life towing experiences....
The wheelbase of those Broncos (about 104 inches) is very short for something based on a full-sized pickup, and the rear overhang is long (compared to modern SUVs of that wheelbase), which exaggerates the load transfer and stability issues of short wheelbase. While it may work, I'm sure that it will not make a good tow vehicle.

I pulled a 25 foot Wilderness with a 1986 Bronco with 185 hp 302 cu. in. V8 for several thousand miles and then bought a 1994 Bronco with 210 hp, 351 V8 and drug it around for thousands of more miles without any problems. The Wilderness weighted well over 5000 pounds. I don’t see why you should have any problems towing an Escape with a Bronco.
