Anyone towing with a new style Honda Ridgeline?

There is rumor of a turbo model so right now a lot of local sales on the stock models. I have looked at Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Toyota Highlander specs but realized we do not need a SUV because the rear seats will be down most of the time. The Honda gets great reviews so I'm asking for actual experience. Thanks....

I would be surprised if there will be a turbo model out at least for 2020. I have a 2019 RTL AWD and have done only light towing, up to an estimated 2800-3000 pounds no WDH or sway control with very good results. I would not hesitate to tow the max rated with mine. The Ridgeline is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I just test drove an RTL-E and loved it. It has the Honda sensing suite- accident avoidance features- and drove nicely. I'm just torn at the moment over giving up the ability to have both more than one passenger and cargo space.

Farther, what kind of gas mileage do you get towing? I have a new crate for Sadie on order and once it comes am going to check out the fit in the rear seat area, but I've seen mileages all over the map.

I didn't track my mileage while towing. My none towing mileage is at about 21 combined and 25 on the highway at 65 mph. I get about 28 comings back from Sequim on my trips to Costco. This is hand calculating because the dash computer is about 1.5 miles optimistic. I only have 14k miles on the truck and it seems the mileage is slowly getting better.

I just finish house/dog sitting in Port Hadlock for 11 days and drove around a 100-pound Catahoula Leopard Dog (Bleu) and a 60-pound Belgian Malinois (Bella) without issue in the pickup bed with no crates. Both dogs had harnesses attached to motorcycle tiedown straps on the pickup bed attachment points. Bleu was kind of grouchy but Bella kept him in line. The Ridgeline does seat five in relative comfort with 60/40 rear flip-up seats. I do have a SoftTopper on the pickup bed which seemed to keep the dogs calm.

If you want to check out my Ridgeline let me know. I would love to meet your Corgis.
