Battery Cutoff Switch

Is this a standard item or an option? Where is it located on a 21'? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I believe it is standard on all Escapes. Not sure where it is on a 21, it should be covered during your orientation at ETI when you pick up. But perhaps one of our 21 members can give you a specific location.

Battery disconnect switch

Thanks Carl. I'll be having it delivered due to distance. Right now, I just disconnect the positive lead from the battery to prevent draining battery. A switch will sure be nice.

They're located on the face of the bench near the power station (WFCO) in all Escapes. Of course, the location of the power station varies by model, but its under a dinette bench. And yes, standard.

It is a very small drain, though.
Even though I have solar I have to leave the switch on while home; my 21 lives indoors so no solar drain wanted......

The switch in my 21 is located right next to the converter, street side rear. I installed a safety rocker switch to prevent an accidental turn off. See here http://smile.amazon.com/JT-Products-...e+switch+cover

My dog thought it was a great idea too, so she more or less ate it. Also turned off the switch.

Feed that dog Charlie! On a 5.0TA with u-shape dinette, dual 6 volt batteries, it's on the drivers-side rear bench. Big ole Red Flipper... can't miss it! (unless ETI made a change since I bought Ten Forward.. and that's possible )
