Inside the door is a sticker which will state the payload. When I had a cap and step bars installed, they added a sticker decreasing this amount. Yes Towing is one number. Payload for example on my 2012 Tundra and the math I did, IMHO for when I decided not to get the 5.0TA. Hitch (which is in the bed) 150 Passengers 400, Pin weight 700 = 1250lbs. This is already over the payload capacity.

Gear is not even included yet. These are rough and you should always go with the manufacturer specs, and what you feel safe with. there is ALF who tows with a small Nissan. Yes, it is mind boggling. I would add up estimates of your weights and then compare to the manufacturer specs. Also, a conversation or email To Escape industries may help clarify some things. Reece I think Tows with an F150. In the end it is all fun research

No, the hitch weight limit applies specifically to load on the under-bumper trailer hitch; for a 5.0TA I agree with Tom - payload is the basic indicator, and you need to confirm that rear axle load is within GAWR(rear) as well.
