Can the tailgate of a Highlander open with the Escape attached

I'm thinking about a newer tow vehicle, newer to me anyways.
Does anyone know if the tailgate can open on a 2009ish era toyota highlander when the trailer is attached?
I guess that the crank is in the same position on all trailers and that would be the thing that would be in the way.
Has someone on the forum had a highlander at some point?

We have a 2012 (same generation) and it opens fine.

Thanks RJBNY.
I only have a 17, so nice to see you are ok with a bigger trailer.

My 2008 Highlander had no problems with both the 19 and 21 Escapes.

Tailgate

We have a 2012 Highlander and that tailgate cleared the manual jack
easily on our 19. On the 21 we recently acquired the tailgate clears the power jack by about an inch which as they say, is as good As a mile.
