Jim, I have a 2014 Ram 1500 with rails installed by Trademasters. Make sure that they know your TV make/model ahead of time so they have the correct kit on hand to install the rails. Each truck takes a different kit. Ram air bags makes the install difficult, not sure is anyone has come up with a kit that is comparable with the RAM airbag setup.
Our truck drops about one inch with the 5TA, of course if it is loaded a whole bunch of other stuff, it will drop more.

Yes, the Ultimate will drop right in the bed rails. You can also buy the Ultimate on Amazon, $400.00. That was the price when I bought it, but haven't checked the price lately. No, I do not have nor do I need air bags. One thing I didn't mention is the safety chains, they are required is some states and not in others. I bought and installed them on the coupler to eliminate any possibility of a citation. They run about $60.00 for the kit, also very easy to install. Andersen or Amazon has the kit.

Here's a link to Andersen that I bought on Amazon. The safety chain kit is on the same page:

Good point, but I'm pretty sure ETI provides Trademasters your vehicle information when they make the appointment.

I called Trademasters, they say that ETI makes that appointment, your drop off the vehicle and walk over to Escape, do your orientation and paper work and talkback in about 2 hours and it is ready.

Jim, I may have missed your announcement, but with all this interest in fifth wheel hitches, you must have bought the 5th wheel that was recently for sale here or you most have a fifth wheel on order. Is that accurate?

That would be 51, not 5.1... and anyway, it would be "5.1TA", right?

Well, Good Luck, Jim. I am sure BlackJack will go soon, and then you will have to get a new trailer!

They must have improved a lot. When I did it, they did not know I had the Ram, so no install kit on hand. Once they got it, it took another 4-5 hours to install the kit/rails. I guess it may have been one of the first Ram's they did.
