Re: Extended towing mirrors

We used our AERO Towing mirrors for the first time heading to the rally. Found the vibration to be very minimal. We were very pleased with them. We ordered through Amazon and picked them up in Sumas at Ship Happens as they don't ship them to Canada.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

I ordered mine the same way and picked them up at Ship Happens too! Hubby has been on the road using the Grand Aeros for over a month now and is very pleased with them. Quality product and they even come with a storage case.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

My Honda Pilot mirrors are kind of wedge shaped a bit on the moulded top part where these Grand Aero mirrors would mount. Does anyone see this as an issue. What it is is flat on the top, and it round down to behind the mirror at t bit of an angle. Thoughts?

Re: Extended towing mirrors

We mounted ours on our 2009 Honda Ridgeline. The mirrors can be mounted from the top or the bottom of the existing mirrors. There is infinite variability in the mounting positions to accommodate various angles. Hope that helps.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

From the look of your pictures, you have the 2X convex model. Any problem with judging the distance behind you of objects seen in the mirror? Vehicles behind you will be closer than they appear. Thanks!

Re: Extended towing mirrors

They are 2X convex but that has not presented a problem.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

They do look good. Do your mirrors have a double wall design too? The 2 layers on mine are about 3/8-1/2" thick.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

The thumbscrew clamps open to accommodate 1/2 to 5/8 inch and they need about a 1/8 inch gap between the vehicle's mirror and its housing.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

I'm convinced, thanks. Now I just need to find a good place to buy them that will ship here.
