Re: Extended towing mirrors

Baglo,
Are there separate Tow N See mirrors for the driver and passenger side, or are they the same? Also, where did you buy them in Canada? It looks to me like Ebay and Amazon, both in the states, are the best choice.
thanks!

Re: Extended towing mirrors

Also Vermilye,
Those aero rectangular mirrors look good, but I am having trouble buying them online from either Ebay or Amazon. Where did you purchase them?
thanks!

Re: Extended towing mirrors

I'll have to have a look when I get home from work.
I don't remember having to make sure I had the right one on the right side.

They do come as flat and convex. I have the flat on both sides.

I tend not to use the passenger side mirror ( mainly because I couldn't get used to it and spent too long searching for the image in the mirror ). My eyes seem to go directly to the view behind me using the one on the driver side.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

I have two identical Tow-n-see mirrors. They work on either side mirror.
Can't remember the name of the store where I got them. You might best check their site for dealers ( I think WallMart might sell them ).

Re: Extended towing mirrors

Beaver,

After reading several of the posts in this thread, I decided to get Grand Aero mirrors for my 4Runner. I found them at Tweety's RV .

Pricey, but I wanted something that I could take on and off quickly, seldom re-adjust, and also had a good vertical view.

They should arrive later this week, but I will need to wait another month to see how they perform with the trailer.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

Thanks David! After making my posts and upon further reading and research, I made the same decision, and was able to order through my local RV dealer, who have access to many suppliers. The pair will cost me about $147 Canadian before taxes, but I like the look of them and the fact that they are larger than the Tow N See and have more vertical viewing range.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

Sorry to get back to you so late (I see you already purchased the Aero mirrors). For anyone else, I purchased mine through Amazon, but I noticed their supplier JR Products no longer offers them.

They do shake a bit on rough roads, but are still completely useable, and work well with my RAV4.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

Thanks Vermyle,
Are your mirrors flat or convex?? they come in both styles, and my dealer got the convex, though I asked for flat. Maybe they are o.k.?

Re: Extended towing mirrors

I realize that convex mirrors provide a wider field of view, but they also distort somewhat.

Re: Extended towing mirrors

They make the car overtaking you seem much further away.

I got flat mirrors.
