The bed on the 19' is 60" x 80" which is queen-sized. The bed on the 15' is 54" x 77."

It is true that the bed on the 15' is a little bigger than the one on the 17'.

Yes, the bed on the 17 is 49 wide and on the 15 it is 54 wide.

No longer true, apparently. I was talking the Tammy a few days ago, and she said the floor layout of the 17A has changed a little. It now goes straight across (used to be narrower on the driver's side), and is 54" wide. They stole some space from the cabinet to accommodate it.

That is good to know as many will be glad of that. Escape needs to correct the specs.

Ahh... sorry I was referring to the 17B and a 15B. If this has changed on a 17B it has to be REALLY recent since we ordered at the end of December and this was not the case for the 17B at the time, part of the reason we went with a 15B. At the end of December 2012 the 17B was 49 inches wide and the 15B was 54 inches wide. So is the new information only for 17A or for 17B as well?

One thing that you may want to think about is that the bed in the 19 has a permanent 7" Queen Size Custom Mattress. If you go for the stock 15, 17 or a modified U dinette in the back of the 19 you will be using the cushions as your mattress. To us this made a BIG difference for comfort and was a major factor in us choosing the 19. So it boils down to what your priorities are.

A good nights sleep can not be overlooked . The full size queen with a real mattress was a realy big deal for us

Sorry, I can't comment on the 17B. I was talking with Tammy specifically about the 17A.

With the 17A, we'd have a fixed mattress in the front. No reason it can't be as good as the mattress in the 19. When we started looking, the full queen mattress did convince us we wanted a 19. When we started running into problems finding a satisfactory tow vehicle we reevaluated and decided 54" width was good enough. I'd still prefer a full queen, but don't feel it's an absolute requirement.

Hi: All... I know what I have to add is totally irrelevant, but I consider the 5.0 to be a stretched 17 with a queen bed space in front and a U shaped dinette in the rear. I also realize that you need a pickup truck to tow it and not everyone wants one of those. After 5 seasons of use it still proves to be a worthy combo to travel in and we look forward to being able to stay in it for longer periods when retired later this year. Alf

hmmm... what are the requirements on the pickup for a 5.0? Could a Tacoma or Frontier pull one?
