Hitch matchup for Nissan Frontier

For those of you with the 5.0 single axle and Nissan Frontier owners, what hitch do you use? We are having trouble finding one to fit our Nissan. At least when calling around. O one seems to know what can fit it. It's a 6' bed. We actually have the hitch from previous owner but not the rails. If we could find just the rails, that would be perfect. The picture is the previous owners hitch setup and truck

There should be no problem getting rails as they are pretty much standard. I would take hitch and truck to a shop and see what they can do. I would be surprised if you didn't leave with new rails or the unit mounted.

Cheers

We just did that and they said they were having trouble matching the rails and then said they were having trouble finding a hitch to fit with the truck [emoji53][emoji848]. Seems odd considering the number of frontiers hauling these

Hi: shark8... Yep... The rails are standard. They're used in conjunction with standard frame brackets also. We took the ones out of our '02 GMC Sierra and had them installed in our 2010 Frontier long bed. Then we mounted our Husky EZRoller in too. Alf

I have contacted both Reese/Draw-Tite and Curt. They both say they do not have a rail kit to match up with the Frontier. Any suggestions of another hitch company? Demco, Blue Ox, etc.

Okay, so you used a "universal" rail kit?

Hi: shark8... Find another hitch shop fast. They just don't want to do the work as It's a bit of bother fishing the bracket bolts through the frame holes. I know some one that was told the shop had to weld on the brackets. Alf
