Yeah, ordering does take a long time. I didn't order this one, it was already being built. They're just holding shipments due to an internal QC audit.

I think that says a lot about their QC. Are they trying to follow ETI's example.

The QC audit is a pain, but I guess I'd rather have them be sure the trucks are right before they leave the facility.

I think there is something wrong with the date stamp. However, it had me thinking as the first few responses seem to be referring to spark plugs blowing out of aluminum blocks, which is old news. The article is clearly about the latest F150 model as are most of the comments.

"Mine will take 10 days to reach the dealer once it leaves the factory. They ship by train."

Would they let you go to KC to pick it up? You could drive it down to Texas a lot faster than that train. Maybe they will even delete the shipping charge!

That's old news Pat. The production kinks are working themselves out. The 2015 4x2 2.7L Ecoboost will tow 8200 lbs.

Nope. They won't even let the dealer do that. The truck isn't "theirs" until it hits the lot -- and it certainly isn't "mine" until then. It has mostly to do with insurance of the cargo.
