King Pin Stabilizing

I have seen a tripod device used to stabilize the king pin on 5th wheel trailers. Do any Escape owners use these, and if so, what has your experience been? Do we need one?

Dave

Re: King Pin Stabilizing

Hi: Garand... Dave; Never felt the need for one for this size of trailer!!! Looking at the weight ratio pin 480#s vs. axle 2160#s even when we're in bed I've never felt the earth move Once I put our removeable step in the bike rack receiver( rear bumper) and stepped on it...YIKES!!! The trailer lifted off heading skyward!!!

Alf;
You could try vowing to never step on that bumper again.

Re: King Pin Stabilizing

Hi: Garand... I could swear on a stack of owners manuals and it still wouldn't help. My Dr. gave me some tests and I failed miserably. One was pounds and ounces. Seems I've had to many ounces that add up to pounds. Alf
