But wait... If you go to MyFord you can download the manuals. And the files are searchable and so much easier to use. BTW, you are going to love that truck; there is a reason they sell so many.

About two months ago, coming down the Natchez Trace Parkway I stopped overnight in a MS State Park. Spoke with a gentleman pulling an Airstream with a 3.5l EB F150. He had had a similar problem, though even worse. His module malfunctioned in a way the trailer brakes were being constantly applied, and could only move his rig if the umbilical were disconnected. Obviously, can't tow even a short distance w/o lights.
I was lucky; I had a friend who sold her RV and gave me her Prodigy 3. It is in my trailer if ever needed; at least I won't be stranded should the module fail again and not be available. But the truth is that with the number of F150s sold, 600+ backordered is not a huge number. It is probably less than the number of F150s sold nationwide in a day or two. And I cannot compliment the Durango dealership's actions enough!

MMarvin - true, but I'm still a bit of an analog old gal and like flipping through the books. (although I can see some really good value in saving the thing as a PDF for future use.)

Yay to the dealership for it's quick thinking and willingness to come up with a solution.

Boo on the darn thing for breaking down in the first place. (one more thing to worry about.)

We're looking forward to testing her mettle come our spring - summer madventure up the eastern coast of the U.S. and into Canada in 2017. (No Escape Appreciation rally for us this time.)

We will see you (Carl) and Gail at Sebring in Feb. We are hoping to head out after the new year and Craig's eyes have healed from cataract surgery to spend some warm time down in Florida before heading back home for family birthdays, Mother's Day and the newest Great-Grand who is due early May.

In the mean while we will have fun breaking in the engine before hitchin' up and headin' out. (I foresee coin flipping to see who gets to drive since we both love this truck, though.)

Alf - we thought we'd save him the trouble and picked it up early. (aside from the fact we have no chimbly.)

We ended up with a 5.5 bed. I was hoping for a 6.5 bed but with the super crew they are hard to find. We were able to get the larger 36 gal. gas tank. This will be nice on longer trips. Tomorrow we're having a folding tonneau cover installed.

Really hard to find, that's right. Almost have to order one to get the longer bed with the SuperCrew. We love the larger tank too.

At least in Canada, the combination of SuperCrew, 6.5' box, 4X4, and 2.7L EcoBoost (or the non-turbo V6) is not available at all - Ford says they don't build it. Change any one of those 4 features and you can get the resulting combination.

This is an option in the U.S. which apparently can be hard to find, but not in Canada. Here, the tank size depends on 4X4 versus 4X2, wheelbase, and whether or not it is a Raptor - no separate choice in tank size. All SuperCrew 4x4 F-150s have the large (36 US gal, 136 L) tank here.

May I add my congrats as well, just came across this thread better late than never. You will be glad you went with the 5.5 bed, I just cannot imagine trying to park the long bed crew cab in a standard seems much smaller these days parking lot space. I struggle with our 6.5 bed and we only have the Supercab, also the 2.7 l. Eco, just love the mileage, and the bells and whistles, we were also surprised that it came with heated seats an XLT. Unfortunately since we got it in April only did a little camping this summer and cancelled our fall trip due to health issues. This winter our 5.0 will sit here in the snow as we cannot go south due to too expensive health insurance.

We got the folding tonneau cover too, it's harder hitching up than without in the old truck since I can't see the fifth wheel plate and of course the back up camera doesn't help all I get is a view of the ground with the tailgate down

Adrian
