New battery in tow vehicle

My Ram 1500 is almost 5 years old and in contemplation of 6,000 mile trip I had the original battery wet cell tested. The test revealed 750 cap and 530 available or around 70%. voltage was 12.4. I had the test from the new AGM battery, 1000 available and 850 capacity at 12.8 volts.
The charging system was checked and everything seems perfect, other than the low charged battery. I decided to replace the battery with the AGM battery. Can anyone make sense out of these numbers? Did I make the correct choice? thanks. BTW, with on line discounts, the new battery was $160.

With those values, and since this is a starting battery, they would be cranking current (amps) numbers. If the original battery was cranking the engine without trouble, I don't know why it would need to be replaced... but I don't know if that would have been adequate.
