I've driven a TJ, but not the Unlimited version of even that smaller model, and I don't recall being in the back of any version. The back seat of even the larger JK Unlimited is much like the third row seating in other vehicles, because the engine and thus the entire passenger compartment is so far back. I wouldn't be surprised if the back of the Wrangler is cramped compared to a RAV4, but that's not a good indication of the size of the vehicle.
