Towing impressions

Initial trip in our new 2017 19' from Chilliwack to Port Angeles and Olympic National Park then on to Sandpoint Idaho and home to Calgary, Alberta. (Just missed the snow)

All trailer systems worked with no problems

2000 Km (1240 miles)
Average towing fuel economy 16 l/100 km (14.7 usmpg) at 55 to 60 mph
Dry weight 2950#
Estimated tow weight 3600#

Tug is 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
V6
Rated for 6200# towing
Towing package
Auto leveling shocks
Anti sway software

No sway bar
No load leveling hitch

The Jeep pulls the 19 well with adequate power slowing down only on the steepest hills. No sway was noticed. The tandem wheels seem to track better than the singles on our previous 15'. The extended towing mirrors were not used as the sight-lines were fine without.

As Donna would say YMMV

Dave

Happy it all worked out well! Always amazed about Jeep performance.
You missed the snow, but don't want to know what is heading our way now....

Is not your unit a 2016 2nd generation, I was told the 2017 will not be available until December?
