someone to follow

As our son drives semis for a large company and they push safety first which means planning ahead and their trucks usually have governors. As I said, they can see a lot farther than I can and they also don't change lanes abruptly or unnecessarily. I only have to put up with idiots that want to get in the space between the truck and me, but they do change lanes again and are gone. Of course our son is paid by the hour so no use speeding.

I try to stay out of the furthermost right lane. People who hesitate while merging are the most frequent receivers of my inappropriate language. Luckily they can't hear me, and i am alone in my car. Truckers are almost always helpful, flashing lights when the coast is clear to move over in front of them. They appreciate the same.

My father taught me to drive and he was always courteous to truck drivers. When passing I always flash my lights to let them know they are free to switch lanes and I always use my flasher when passing to signal my intent to switch lanes, towing or not. With non trucks it is more haphazard signaling....

Welcome Sam to our little Escape world. What does your yellow sticker state on the door jamb and what year is your Tahoe?

Long hawk:
We have a 2018 Escape19 that we tow with a 2002 RWD Tahoe. We always use a WDH to tow level. With a 7800 # towing max. with our vehicle drivetrain combo, no problems towing. We are definitely not towing at the margins with our TV/TT setup.

2019 LT w Z71 4WD. GVWR 7300 lbs, GCWR 14000 lbs. Build sheet from GM shows Gross Vehicle Weight of 3314. I plan on weighing at Cat scale just to get a solid baseline datapoint of each axel with normal travel load , and no trailer .

"3314" would be the Gross Vehicle Weight rating in kilograms (7306 pounds).

Getting baseline axle loads is a good idea.
