Not to sure the link is useful, it tells you nothing and wants you to subscribe to Consumer Reports for a few I would suspect.

It's locked and I can't read it. What does it say? Which is better for towing 21' Escape?

That depends, what are you looking for in a truck. Fuel economy, horsepower, torque, price, options, ground clearance, style of tailgate, truck weight, payload, towing capacity, crew or regular cab, tow package, maximum tow package, built in brake controller, 2 x4 or 4x4, etc.
What is preferable to one person for towing a certain trailer might not be suitable/acceptable to the next person.
Short answer the best vehicle is the one you are most comfortable towing with.

I have a subscription. This is what is said about towing.
"The Chevy is about 230 pounds lighter than the Ram, tipping our scales at 5,130 pounds. Our LT trim version is equipped to tow 9,600 pounds, nearly 1,500 pounds more than the Ram we bought. Keep in mind that these trucks have numerous payload and towing capacities, depending on the chosen trim, engine, transmission, gearing, and other equipment.
Always look at the ratings for a specific truck when shopping rather than make an assumption based on marketing, which often emphasizes trucks with optional equipment. That said, our Silverado’s payload capacity is 1,941 pounds, more than 200 above the Ram’s."
There was lots more but this was the Bottom Line:
"Bottom line: Both of these pickup trucks can get the job done, and each has its own strengths.
The Chevy is quick, has more towing and payload capacities, and stops shorter. That might make it more suitable for truck tasks.
The Ram’s strengths include its very comfortable ride, quiet cabin, smoother transmission, and more comfortable seats, which make it a more civilized vehicle.
Ultimately, the Ram's strengths give it better road-test and overall scores, which make it a better choice than the Silverado. Plus, it’s simply a more enjoyable truck to use as a daily driver."
Personally I'm waiting for the 2021 Tundra which is rumored to be a Hybrid electric. Toyota has a great record with their hybrid designs.

I first saw one of these in 1964 and I have been waiting ever since for Dodge/Ram to bring back the style. They sorta did that in '93 but now they're drifting away again.

Ah! The old Power Wagons! Now that was a truck! I grew up in Boulder Colorado and they were quite popular in that area.

Got an email earlier today from one my 1969 "hooch mates" asking about the trailer. They live above Boulder in the hills at a place called Fir Lane. Wife worked for the University. One night I got stuck at the Denver airport and drove up to his place to crash for the night.
The first Power Wagon I saw was the van version. That one in the photo can be had for a mere $300k.

Thank you so much for posting this. It was very helpful. Toyota and Hybrid really caught my attention. I've owned two Prius and LOVE them. We get 45-62 MPG on a 2016 depending on if we are using heat or AC or nothing. But they can't tow. One of my regrets was to have to give up my hybrid Toyota for a truck. Now I'm feeling much better and will be stalking Toyota for more news. : )

Insurance verification card
Seems like the last time I drove to Canada I needed a "Canadian Insurance Verification Card". That was in 2008. My insurance company tells me all I need now is my South Carolina verification card and my passport. Is that the case now?

Hummm, when I crossed into Canada last year, I wasn't asked about insurance. The business that WAS interested was my insurance carrier. They needed to know I was leaving the USA with tug and tow AND I bought a 'foreign country' binder for 60 days. Was cheap <$20.

Thanks Donna Like I mentioned, if I remember correctly back in 2008 I had to have a little Canadian Insurance verification card but I was towing an Aliner with a Lance 835 on the truck. I'm not towing anything in Canada this trip. I just want to get to Chilliwack and back to Sumas.
