Was it difficult to drill thru the sidewall of the frame?
I ask because I thought I'd read somewhere that some of the newer truck frames are harder (higher carbon, possibly)?

Sleepy,
It was not hard, I used 18v cordless drill with freshly charged battery and new drill bit for each side. I would say way less than a minute for each hole in the frame. I would assume the frame on the mid-size truck is not as thick as a full size truck, but if you have late model full-size truck. Not likely you would need to drill any holes due to the availability of custom frame brackets already available.

Safety chain loop and wiring "T" adapter recommendation needed for late model Canyon
Based on your actual use or experience, can someone recommend the specific brand and model safety chain loops and wiring "T" harness that will fit a fifth wheel setup in a 2017 GMC Canyon. It looks like the Curt or Reese safety chain loops "should" fit in any rail, but I could not find which 7 pin "T" wiring adapter is recommended.
Any specific information that you can provide would be helpful.
Thanks, Rick

While at the ETI factory and the opportunity to measure on flat floor with trailer loaded and unloaded.
Trailer hitched at wheel well lip measured 35 3/8"
Trailer not connected measured 36".
Disclaimer, trailer was stock no stuff inside and tanks / water heater were empty.
Will need to take another measurement when truck and trailer loaded for normal trip.

Are you on the Timbren springs when loaded?

I'm new to this forum and still finding my way. But I'm planning to replicate Kent's Andersen install procedure on a Canyon V6 for a 5.0 TA delivery 10/31. I'm wondering if there is a downside to using the 2nd hole for the rail mount with square tubular spacer, as Izcamper did? Seems like this approach might be easier to implement. My only concern is if the brackets are long enough to reach to the 2nd hole? Any info/opinions would be appreciated.

Hi TKscape, I haven't seen Kent on the forum lately.
As a new member you do not have private message (pm) privileges yet, I sent Kent a pm letting him know that you addressed a question. Hopefully he follows up with you or this post.
