Bc forestry camp grounds

Was wondering what other forestry camp grounds that people like to camp at.I was just up at Hidden Lake near Enderby and really enjoy the site,Nice people who host the grounds and it is only 12.00 .No hook-up though,or showers .

Not telling.

And, seniors ( like the Old Bag ) only pay $6 for a site. Cost us $30 for six nights on the lake, near Merritt.

Re: Bc forestry camp grounds

There are several books by Kathy and Craig Maitland that we have found useful for finding BC forest service campsites:

Camp Free in BC 2005
Camp Free in BC, Vol. 1: southern BC 1999
Camp Free in BC, Vol 2: central BC 1999

Some of the information in the books is a bit dated and some of the sites seem like they where not visited first hand as occassionally the information is false.

In keeping with the theme of "camp free", I bought the books at Value Village for 99 cents each. Excellent value for the money

Yes I use that site for forestry campgrounds.I also have many forestry maps of most of BC and have checked out many of the campgrounds. And have some favourite ones.Hidden Lake is just one.I was more curious what sites other people have been to and enjoyed. But if no one else is willing to share their favourites,I won't either.
Happy camping though.
