Burnt Cabins Grist Mill campground

Went to a local cg this weekend, 3 couples total for a birthday celebration. We had good food, good drinks, good times and great weather. BTW, the new automatic awning retracted twice in high winds, works like a charm. Burnt Cabins Grist Mill

Thanks for the pictures and camping report Jim.

Here in the West Coast we've been living in endless days of RAIN. nice to see that some Forum members can get out

Yum, good winter food

That looks like great chili - is it a family heirloom, or do you share your receipes?

It was 3 lbs of 80/20 hamburger with McCormick mild chili packet, can of corn, 1 can of water, 1 can of stewed tomatoes,1 green pepper, 2 onions and one bottle Heinz chili mix. Salt/pepper/garlic. The corn muffins had jalapeños cut up in the mix.

Thank you so much, I do love chili, and grew up eating loads of corn bread. You are very kind to share it! It is turning cold here in Arizona, in the 60's, time to make some winter food.

Hi: cpaharley2008... If you need more heat try adding some Cayenne pepper to the corn meal mix along with the Jalapeno's. Alf

Hi: cpaharley2008... I've never been one to "Waffle", but I have done a few "Pancakes" in my time!!! I make my own batter w/ sour cream& club soda... then my own spread with apple slices, apple juice w/ lots of cinnamon, pinch of cloves and thickened with cornstarch.
My son used to call it "A party in his mouth". Alf
