Cypress Hills

Really nice well organized campsite. Lots of history (RCMP, whisky traders, etc.) Fabulous scenery in the Canadian badlands. Campsite number 51 (unserviced) in Firerock Campground rocks.
Right on the Alberta Saskatchewan border, you can see Montana from the high point in the park. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful spot. We were through there a few years ago, PE (pre-Escape) in the Boler. Only on the Alberta side, though.

Not too far away is another spot we really liked -- Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. Can look across the "border" to Montana's Sweetgrass Hills from there.

Great hiking both spots.

Used to spend summer vacations at a friends cabin in cypress hills. Your photos bring back some good memories. We will be passing through in a couple weeks and will enjoy seeing some of the old sites again.
