Desert Camping

Our first time ever camping on the desert. Jasper much prefers it after the sun goes down as in this photo. At American Girl Mine Road NW of Yuma.

Looks like Jasper is looking around saying "Where did winter go? This is better than a chinook!"

Jim, have you relocated your tail lights to the rear hitch box?

No doubt, though he is not thrilled with the daytime highs of 28°C. Evenings and nighttime are much better.

I just added new lights and license plate holder to match. I will be doing up a thread on it when I next get WiFi.

Usually I'm down south in the warmth and you're up freezing and doing renos. This year you're in the warmth and I'm just finishing doing a partially outside reno with weeks of incessant rain. What's wrong with that picture?

Glad the snowy part's over and you're starting to get the weather that is such a nice change from the cold northern winters. Enjoy.

Looking good Jim. Jasper appears to be thoroughly enjoying it.

Jasper is happy whenever he gets to go with us, no matter where it is. Heck, he was even in Mexico with us the last couple days when we walked across to do some optical shopping.

Will you able to take a similar shot this morning at 6 AM of the blood moon? It would be a calendar contender!

Well, I never knew what it was, but I was out about 5am and the moon looked kinda weird. More of an orange line colour, and quite big. Earlier, around 2am it was super bright out.

Nope, just the regular axle. I have been keeping an eye on my under mounted spare, but it seems fine. I do want to watch it going over big humps some time.

That moon was too the south, and I wasn't turning the trailer around. The shot I posted was looking pretty much north.
