Looks great! Thanks for posting. Our kids live out there and I needed camping ideas.

It is great to see the lake with water in it! I was there in October, 2017 and the lake was down quite a bit. Check out the photo showing the boat ramp:
I agree, a very nice campground. If you are into reservations, they must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
Another point - don't mix up Emigrant Springs State Park with Emigrant Lake County Park - they are 8 hours apart! I stayed at the state park in 2012.

I'm looking for an overnight stop on a trip from central CA to WA. Will be traveling Highway 5. How far is Emigrant County Park from Highway 5? Any other suggestions for an overnight between the CA/OR border and Medford?
Thanks!

Hi there!
Emigrant Lake is just off the 5. Very close. I don't know of any other places to overnight, but if you go online to iOverlander | Find your next destination you can search that area with a variety of filters to find parks, campgrounds, and even free places to stay. There are two Harvest Host participants in the Jacksonville area which, while off Interstate 5 by about a half hour, is a wonderful town to visit. They indicate that they can have up to 3 RV's visiting (one at winery A, and two at winery B).
Best wishes for safe travel!

I notice you use a drone in quite a few of your videos... while I have one (Mavic Pro), i've discovered that they are banned at many of the places I'd love to film with it. Have you run into issues with this?
and, thanks for the tip, we're going to be stgaying in the ashland area for 3 nights in July and going to a couple Ashland Shakespeare shows, the park had one RV space left for my dates, yay.

Check out Southern Oregon RV Park near Medford. Just off I-5 and not bad for a quick close to the freeway stop

I haven't had any problems but I always prioritize common sense and common courtesy. So if it's not allowed, I don't do it. If it is allowed, or isn't specifically prohibited, I ask my neighbors or move far away so it's unobtrusive. The Mavic Air has a high pitched rotor noise, so I try to use ambient noise to mask that. The sound of waves or trees usually does it!
