Ft. Caspar Campground has a reminder

When leaving Ft. Caspar Campground in Casper, Wyoming this morning I saw a sign that read something like this:

Thank You For Staying at Ft. Caspar Campground
Are your steps up and antennas down?

They forget to ask: "Is your trailer hooked up?"

Read and react

Must be a Wyoming thing. Leaving a private campground in Buffalo two years ago the sign said Step up? Antenna down? Wife on board ? It was funny to me, my wife did not see the humor. Probably because I left her in a gas station in Quebec one time.

Dave

Ha! Good move Dave.

This reminds of an Italian moviev(with subtitles) which my wife and I enjoy a lot - Bread and Roses. It's about the adventures of a wife after being left at a rest stop. A really funny movie.

One Time, One Time! Forget your wife One Time in Quebec, and you're branded for life! One Time! Where's the justice?

Hey come back

Mentioned this post at breakfast this morning. Still no smiles and my original experience happened in 1972. Upside , I got interested in Quebec and have been reading up on the geology of the Laurentian shield and plateau and the associated provincial parks in the area. Rita did jog my memory to let me know we were near Quebec City when the 1970 F 100 headed west less a navigator. 😜

Must have been a 70's thing. My Grandpa assumed Grandma was sleeping in the backseat of the car or in the trailer when he filled up the car in Arizona. A hundred or so miles later he discovered she was not in there when he arrived at Quartzite. She had gone in the station to use the restroom and was setting out front of the gas station when he came back. This of course became part of the family lore and a fellow camper drew a cartoon of it for them
