Great campsite

The kid decided to go camping with friends at one of the most popular areas in BC. Left late Friday in my RAV4, with half the stuff from my trailer and no campsite booked. I got a text message that they stayed on "some random hilltop" Friday night and found a camp site on Saturday.

Meantime, I prepped and painted window frames, with temps in the mid-30s C.

Sitting back in a camp chair, with a beer at my side, a dozen more in the bar fridge, the painting almost done and Toad resting up for her next trip, I realized that on this particular weekend, we had the best campsite in the province.

Re: Great campsite

Looks pretty good!!

We did have reservations and ended up at the "bench" campground in Sasquatch Park near Harrison.

Last time we went there we had a canvas bare bones tent trailer--it was SO wet and cold and we really froze (we were with others so didn't want to leave)BUT, the tent trailer went up for sale the next day and within a week we had our Boler!!
This was a MUCH better trip--hotter than heck and the trees in the bench campground made it very nice, (Maxx Fan works great) we rode our bikes over to Hicks Lake and then found out what a great place for a swim it was----rode back got our suits and then smartly drove back the 5 km and swam a few different times..
Very relaxing....(and heck we had a lobster dinner on Saturday night--great camping huh?)

And the Escape is NOT going up for sale!!!

Re: Great campsite

Yup, that used to be the carport, but it wasn't high enough. Keath and I removed about 3/4 of the carport so the trailer fits and there is still some shelter for the stuff that usually ends up in a carport.
