Greener Grass

This long weekend in B.C., we chose to stay home, rather than join the throngs on the highways vying for camp spots.
We have power, water, cable, wifi, free shower and a beer fridge.

Re: Greener Grass

Nice site!

Your yard reminds me of growing up in North Vancouver.

We lived in the Capilano Highlands until my early teens when my mom fell in love with a new house for sale in Upper Lonsdale.
We lived there for 2 years until we had a huge snowfall that caused one of our big cedars to fall on our neighbors house.
The following Monday my Dad tried to walk out to Lonsdale so he could get a bus to work. After falling 5 times, he walked back, told us to start packing because we were moving! I guess the novelty of living up in the mountains had worn off. We moved 2 months later to the flats of PoCo.

Re: Greener Grass

the Old Bag is tired of living under the Capilano Cloud and wants to be where you can see the view, instead of being the view.

Move to 100 Mile House and pocket the difference in real estate costs. Buy a couple of new Escapes with the profits even.
You can even park them in your front yard without the bylaw enforcement officer visiting you. It rarely rains, rarely gets over 30 C (whatever F ): the only draw back is that you freeze your @$$ off in the winter.

Re: Greener Grass

The real problem with this campsite is that so far I was forced to paint the back of the house, and today I'm mowing the lawns.
I mean, what's with that
