State Park Day and free camping on the 6th at Oregon State Parks. We are stuck in town, unfortunately.

While not heading for Oregon, I'm leaving Monday with friends in a Scamp on a 2 month trip to Alaska. They have to come back - he still works; I'm going stay in the West after the trip, checking out Big Bend, The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and wintering in Arizona.

Nice! Are you staying in one place in Arizona for the entire winter... or will you move around?

I tend to wander. Will do the Quartzite Fiberglass rally in February, spend some time at La Paz County Park, and the Imperial Dam BLM area. I have reservations for the Scamp Camp in Sedona in December, other than that, I'll look for interesting places to visit...

We like Nehalem Bay park. The beach is nice and the surrounding towns are cute. It's a bit big and tight, though. The sites are quite close to each other with few vegetation, and lots of group gathering in the summer months. Definitely worth going off season or weekday. It's proximity to bigger cities (Salem, Portland) means crazy busy weekends. I recalled seeing news of it being under construction so some part of the campground is closed.

Parts of it were closed to do utilities upgrades last year.

OneOldMan, we'll roll in Sunday afternoon and staying until sometime Tuesday. I'd like to visit your 17 and get some measurements from it for overhead cabinet dividers; I've made them for 19s and 21s, but Reace said the 17s are a little different on sizing..........
