Lake Wateree SP, Winnsboro SC & Lunar Eclipse

One of our stops on the way home from the Escape rally in PA was at beautiful Lake Wateree State Park in Winnsboro, SC.
Sites have electric and water. Most sites are wooded but the ones that look out over the lake have more sun. Some sites are down at lake level so you can pull a boat up to shore below your campsite. We stayed during the week and it was very quiet. This park also has a public boat ramp, so it may get busy (noisy) on weekends.

We were there during the the Lunar Eclipse - Blood Moon of Oct. 8th and went out early to take some pictures.

We're traveling south....but not quickly. We did leave Chantilly Farms Campground in Floyd, VA (fun little town off of the Blue Ridge Pkwy). A cold front came through last week and we opted for some warmer SC weather.
