The view from the RV sites are not as good, but some sites are better than others. This obviously is a brand-new facility.

You may wish to consider Gouldings, a few miles to the west, with hookups, trees, stores, museum, etc. The view there is not as good, but you could always enjoy sunset at the Tribal park, if desired.

Very nice Dave. We only missed you by a day or two. We stayed at Gouldings on the 5th and 6th. Ran into Hugh and Denise with their 19 also. Great folks. Took the half day tour into the tribal park and it was a red dust windy hell -- but we absolutely loved the views.

We hiked the scenic 3-4 mile trail around West Mitten. There also is a 17-mile self-guided scenic auto tour but we had to skip it because of our next activity - a 5-day backpack trip in the Paria Wilderness (I left the trailer at the trailhead for the duration).

BTW, I wouldn't feel safe riding one of those Monument Valley guided tour vehicles, little more than flat-bed trucks with bench seats bolted on the back and no roll-over protection.

Dave and Jane, I have a 17B also and am wondering if you have dual 6 volt bat.?
I have my trailer since Oct and have not checked the water. I can't seem to get the caps off or I don't know how! Can you help me out here? Thanks, Craig

Very true, and in a couple of places the driver/guide was gunning the engine pretty good due to deep sand or a steep hill. It was hang on and hope. But, came out of it unscathed except for red dust in every nook and cranny.

Twist the whole thing, Craig, if you have what we have. The caps are all connected to each other. Do not pull up, twist sideways instead.

I wonder how much of that was for effect? Kinda like a guided whitewater rafting trip where they take you through huge rapids that look like death, if you haven't been through them a thousand times already.

Hi Craig- just use a small flat blade screwdriver. They only go back one way so be was of that. My 21 batt needed water 90 days after pickup.
