We just got back from our favorite Provincial Campground. "Okanagan North" is situated about 25K North of Penticton on Highway 97.
Basically it's a no service campground with very large private sites. The scenery is stunning and the swimming beach on Lake Okanagan is sunny and warm. Pet owners have a choice of bringing the dogs to the 'dog beach' farther along the shore. There's only 2 men's showers and 2 women's showers but they are very clean and we never saw a line up. The 80 + - sites are on a tiered paved road giving most pads a view of the lake. Washrooms are on each tier along with a central garbage/recycle and water tap. Before Fridays campfire ban (due to forest dryness) wood could be delivered for $7.00 a load.
$30.00 a night and reservations are advised.
You take some great pics.I haven't camped there, but have gone there for walks. You can walk between the south campground and the north one ,both great places.

It's true that both OK North and OK South are great places but North seems to be less windy and the sites are larger.... but it is tiered and some people may not like that.
