For anyone interested, I've finally got around to uploading an album with some of the photographs from my 2012 cross country trip. Many more in the journal.

Hey Jon, you took a great big bite on this roadie! Have book marked your blog for future reference. I just retired today and we are going on a roadie to the States ourselves. Your blog will help us plan our trip. Thanks for sharing.

On my road trip, I'm just gonna leave the camera at home. Save weight. Don't need pix. Have your blog.

Afraid not - I have to stay in the east since my daughter & family are coming from Botswana, Africa for a visit. They have been working there for the last 2 years & will be there for another 2.
I do currently plan to leave Oswego for the south & south west next October & spend the winter & spring somewhere warm. The last two years have been fun, but I'm really in the wrong part of the country at the wrong time! (He says after shoveling 1' of snow 2 days ago & looking at another 6" on the ground & still falling today)

East along the Equator By Helen Winternitz touched upon Zaire's Creepy&Sad history.
Cry of the Kalahari It's been a popular book for years. Near Maun, Botswana
