Rainy River Our first night camping and FREE

Our first night in our 5.0 all alone beside the Rainy River in Rainy River ON looking across to MN on the far bank. Went to town office to pay the $25 and told sorry no water or washrooms or picnic tables but enjoy your night on us with free hydro

It sounds like a lot of rain heading your way. Have fun and stay dry!

Thanks for the Report, Adrian and Beth

We are anticipating our trailer in mid-August. Liz and I checked out a few camping sites this afternoon. We were looking for a nice place for our first time.

I visited the Rainy Lake area on the Minnesota side a few years ago. At a visitors center I was puzzled by an irregular dotted line drawn across a map of the lake. When I asked about it, I was told that in the winter this was a state highway. Boy, was I impressed.
