Are those not donkeys? LOL No wonder they don't look like donkeys I have seen before.

Yep, it's a genuine drove of donkeys.

The donkey or ass (Equus africanus asinus), a member of the horse family. The wild ancestor of the donkey is the wild African ass, E. africanus. The donkey has been used as a working animal for at least 5000 years. A male donkey or ass is called a jack, a female a jenny or jennet. Jack donkeys are often used to mate with female horses to produce mules.

And don't forget the hinny - male horse (stallion) to jenny. Or the zedonk - zebra/donkey cross.

I'm reading "Smoke the Donkey", which is about a donkey that was adopted by a Marine colonel in Iraq and all he went through getting Smoke over here. Quite an enjoyable book.

Yeah, I like donkeys. And horses. And mules. And zebras. But especially cats (a clowder).

PS, love your donk photos.

Kicking Horse does roast good coffee, it is my fall back to when I run out of my own roasted beans. Still MUCH better fresh ground though.

Hi Myron, we have spent the last 4 months in Scottsdale living in our 5.0TA and loving it. Not many ruins to walk to but have really enjoyed walking to the local brewery!
