21' Battery ?

If one has 2 x 6v batteries in 21', are they accessible and can be removed easily? I'm guessing their under the bench if one has the U-shaped dinette? Do the batteries (6v) ETI installs require distilled water? thanks

are they accessible and can be removed easily? - yes and sort of

Do the batteries (6v) ETI installs require distilled water? Yes

Take a look at this thread - pics of the batteries and a better way to add water.

Yes, they do require routine maintenance, at least once a year you may need to add distilled water. They are in the rear passenger side dinette or with the "U" option, in the rear compartment towards the corner. I may move mine towards the center once I take possession.

Our 21 has the dual 6V under passenger side dinette bench(as all do), however are next to kitchen wall if that makes sense vs. the rear corner as they have been doing for several years. The thinking is you get more storage immediately below the dinette bench that way, however it is a PITA to service batteries buried in the corner. It is easy to check water levels and even swap out as I did when trading the single 12V for dual 6V.

Pretty sure one could request that location vs. rear corner and for a 21 especially the loss of convenient storage given all it has anyway is minimal.
