Blind Hold Down

Does anyone know where one might source exact replacements for currentish blind hold downs, as pictured?

Yes! I believe the third one on their list is the correct one! Just ordered a handful. I searched the inter webs for about half an hour without finding this particular version. Thanks!

Also, why doesn’t anyone make these things out of something tougher than extra cheap plastic? Answer: Because how then would they generate repeat sales?

I would think a machinist could do it. But not me. Years ago I had a neighbor that would make his own screws rather than make the 30 mile round trip to town. Of course, he was a retired machinist with a full shop.

You could do away with them altogether if you want. They are not really need. See how to do that here and the post following that. http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...tml#post273852

But would you still will need the board if you did not have the back stabers?

Yes. The headboard’s primary function is to shield the window frame, which is fairly uncomfortable to lean against. The blind hold downs are easy to avoid, but without the board the only way to avoid the window frame is to stick your back right in the very corner, or pile a bunch of pillows in front of it. I really like the headboard.
