Chrome Polish

The outside door hinges look like they are corroding, getting bumps on them. I haven't polished chrome with any other then wax in ages. I know some of you PNW folks are boat owners and must have some tips on cleaning these things up. What works these days?

Hi: padlin... I use this. Autosol.com Truckers buy Auto Sol Metal Polish in the quart size... I buy the tubes. It won't stop the bumps... but makes 'em shine!!! Alf

You can also use what Harley owners use, "Nev-R-Dull" a wadding material impregnated with cleaner/polisher for all the "Chrome" on a Harley.

Squeaky-Clean

OK, We had her out to the coast last week and she got a bit of salt air on her. So today was bath day. Already had a good coat of Maguire's, so a wash and dry was all that was necessary. Going to visit relatives tomorrow, and we wanted her to look her best:

Steve,
Do you have the foam underneath or did you also wash the frame?

If you have seen my Boler you will know I am a polishing fanatic. Auto Sol is my standard for maintaining the shine, Nev-R-Dull is great from touch-up and quick fixes on the road. Both very good polishes

Jim, We do have the foam underneath. I washed as far as I could reach of the foam, and the entire exposed rear bumper and front tongue. I don't like that salt air to sit too long.
