Cleaning the inside of the Max-fan cover

Can the Max- fan cover be cleaned with out taking it off the roof? If it needs to be taken off, what’s the best way to do it? I found videos on you tube for Fantasic fans, but no Max- fans.

I did mine from the inside, if I remember right I pulled the fan blade so I could get my hand through. Didn't come out perfect but better a lot better then it was.

Cleaning

I did the same, cleaned it from the inside. I easily removed the screen and then the fan blade. The rest was just a bunch of contortions to reach the places that needed cleaning. A beverage helped.

Yep... I used the same method. Beverage and all.

Max Fan Blade

There is a set-screw holding the fan blade to the motor shaft. it requires a hex key wrench. I don't remember the size, metric or standard It was a small one...wrench and screw.

Same. From the inside after removing fan blade by loosening allen head set screw.

Word of Advice: Wear some garden gloves or maybe rubber gloves as I happened to get some small cuts on my hand from the exposed metal edges of the raising mechanism.

Amazing how funky & dirty things can get after a few years of humid air going in or out.

And yes, adult beverage helped
