Like any tool, you have to know how to use it.
Gawd, don't you know a joke when you read it? Guess you can't figure out I was poking fun there.

Whatever you end up with, be careful.
I have been looking for a ladder such as you describe as I too don't like walking up and down; Home Depot carries this one: Cosco Signature Series 8 ft. Premium Aluminum Step Ladder-2081AABLD - The Home Depot ? Is it overkill?

Thanks! I'll let you know after I use it if it's overkill. The treads are 3" wide which is lots better than the 1.25" on our current ladder. I especially like the trays at the top.

My feet are still hurting.

Shoes with ridged soles will help they will stabilize your foot and protect it from the pressure of the thin steps

20 thumbs up for the ladder! My feet aren't killing me after using it yesterday to wash the trailer and today to wax the roof.

Thanks for the update Laura! Glad to hear it was worth the purchase! I think I will get one, too!

That is the one I use also to access the trailer roof as well as house gutter maintenance. Very solid but manageable weight wise.

Back to waxing the trailer
I too used a marine liquid wax when we first got our 2014 19', looked great but it was a ton of work, my body ached for days.

This year I have switched to Meguiar's Marine Flagship Wash N Wax, it is very easy to use, cleans very well and leaves a nice shine. Because it is so easy I wash n wax the trailer on a regular basis, 3 times this year so far. I like the results.
