frosted fridge fins, RMD 8555

Fins in the fridge are frosted pretty good, upper middle of the fins, just below the freezer. Does anyone have a fix without shutting down the unit? On the road for a couple more weeks. No issues with temps, inside or outside the fridge, freezer about 5, fridge between 37 and 42. Outside 70's - 50's, don't know about the humidity, Utah seems dry to us.

One of those fridge fans pointed at the fins usually helps.

Thought of the hair dryer till I saw in the manual it expressly says not to, no idea why though.

Hi: padlin... I thought the same till I watched a vid about defrosting. If you need speed use the dryer... but no ice scrapers!!! Alf

Cure for the frost... Leave the unit on propane for the 1st 8 hour day of travel towards home. Fridge went up to mid 40's, frost gone.
