Gelcoat

Dragged Toad out from under the cedar tree this morning and hosed droppings off the roof, then washed it down with a Simonize product that's supposed to wash and wax. Has done a good job in the past, but this time I have some stubborn stains to deal with.

Some appear to be bird droppings ( from a really large bird or small incontinent racoon ) and some are just, perhaps, color that's come from the cedar leaves. I haven't really applied elbow grease yet and I wondering what wonder-product to use.

And, I flushed the water lines. Ran the city water, opened the bypass valves for the water heater and opened the relief valve, but I was surprised by the foamy water that ran for some considerable time from the hot water tap and the relief valve. It wasn't just aerated, it was like the head on a good beer. Eventually, it ran clear.
Any thoughts?

Tomorrow it's supposed to rain, so I will tackle sorting out the inside in preparation for our first trip of the season.

Re: Gelcoat

Hi Glenn

I just use a good quality car washing soap, and some of that elbow grease you mentioned.
Then a good coat of carnauba wax and to finish a beer.

I just use a little bit of liquid Vim to take off any stubborn stains and then wax over that area right away.

And, I just happen to have a brand new bottle of Vim under the sink. Can't remember what I bought it for.
