Grading Required

Hey,

Well put the trailer in it's winter over slot beside the garage. I knew I was going to have to grade and create a parking spot but things are what they are and did not get to grading and stoning the spot. Well as you can see lol 4" Block and 41/2" worth of 2x8's it is level. So next mod will be the parking spot this spring.

Hi: Cypherian... Looks nice and comfy in there. For now "Our Escape Hatch" is sitting on the drive paved with crushed limestone. It's almost as hard as cement!!!
Later it'll be sitting here. Alf

Cypherian,
Are you going to cover the 19' with a cover this season? Looks like you could also extend the roof line over and make a nice carport!

FWIW,
Since I have had a plethora of trailers over the past 6 years, my pad is a patchwork of cement showing the progression in length and width to accommodate my various trailers. Just pour a nice one in the spring.

Yeah I will put the cover on I wanted to get it in place use my air system to ensure the water was out etc. Probably cover it tomorrow it started getting breezy I did not want to end up in another county lol. I am not going pour a pad there it is access to my back yard for big trucks septic etc so I do not want to build one heavy enough to handle that just going to grade it edge it with RxR ties fill with sand then gravel and maybe use some of the blocks as markers for the tires and front landing pad.

That should work…FWIW my septic was close to 200 feet from the driveway, they carry long hoses.

Mine's not that far - maybe half that - but the vacuum truck operator stops in my front driveway and pulls hoses to the tank in the backyard at the far end of the house. I can get a big truck into the backyard, but it's a bad idea in soft or slippery ground conditions so I generally keep them out front.

Of course that might not cover all trucks - water, propane, fuel oil, whatever...
