It's time to replace the 2 pipe vent covers on my 2012 17B. I am willing to try it myself, but I need to know how to remove the original sealant from ETI and what to replace it with. ETI applied the same sealant to my MaxxFan cover, Dometic fridge cover, etc. On the MaxxFan, for example, there are "curl on top" drops of sealant every inch around the base. Does anyone know what that material is and how to acquire it? Or, if there is a newer/better product I should use?
Sometimes, as on Escape 15B, you can replace the cap on the pipe vent without having to redo the flange that is fixed to the roof. If that is all you need to do...
If can put new Dicor over old Dicor, or new Proflex over old Proflex, just need to clean it up good first. Removing the old first does come out looking nicer.

Thanks--I really appreciate the info. Is Dicor easy to obtain? Online?

Unfortunately, I let the trailer sit uncovered for 5 years, so my roof "plastics" have sun damage, particularly the 2 vent covers. So I want to replace the entire vent cover....
I now have a nice cover for the trailer, to protect it from here on out.
