Sewer hose rinse cap - attaching garden hose

Hi everyone - newbie question please: how do you use the sewer hose rinse cap (attaching a garden hose to it)? Any concerns from rinsing the water into your trailer?

The stock cap with hose fitting is for someone to drain off some gray water if needed into a bucket or mobile tank. They do make an aftermarket gadget that allows a water and waste hose hookup. The intent is to backflush the tanks while the sewer line is also hooked up. You should know that these work best if there is a straight shot right into the tannk. Not going to work well if there are turns/offsets between the outlet and the tank.

Decant

I bought a valterra brand cap with a standard garden hose fitting off center installed. To that I attached a spare piece of supply hose from a clothes washing machine. And on the discharge end put a plastic garden hose fitting quarter turn ball valve. If I need to draw down the contents of the grey tank I hook this up and pull the grey tank lever. The ball valve will allow slow discharge of grey water into a small bucket which can be dumped properly, lLast week we were camping where there was no dump station. We had an empty black tank and full grey and fresh water tanks. I decanted about 10 gallons of grey water into the toilet and had plenty of grey capacity then for showers. I then dumped both tanks the next morning at a dump site about 15 miles away. I have never used this setup to attempt to blackflush either tank. Spooks me. Some campgrounds have grey water dumps placed throughout the campground that can also be bucket accessed.
