Must be the Watsadler campground you're going to. Looks nice, reminds me of the COE we stayed at a week in March on the GA/AL line.
BTW Jim we won't be making the trip to NC in October, hope to meet up somewhere else, how about going to Green Eggs and Ham in March?

Just to satisfy my curiosity, which COE CG are you at? As I mentioned in another threat, about 46 years ago I was a US Park Ranger in SD at a few COE sites along the Missouri. Your comment brings back old memories.

We're going to the Paynes Creek Campground. Our place is on a tributary of the Savannah just north of Augusta on the South Carolina side. We'll just follow the river northwest for about 104 miles. If you see me any where near Atlanta, I'm lost

Cottonwood at the Gavin’s point dam area.
Clean as any camp anywhere. Full reatroom service about 6 pm Sunday night and a nice cleanup at 8 am today. Camp ranger very friendly. No hassles, no barking dogs, no drunks. We stay here about once a year. Big cottonwood trees but all with a class A trim on them. No widower makers.

Hey Adrian Sorry I won't get to see you at the Outer Banks. We'll be staying at Paynes Creek COE. I believe they have multiple COE campgrounds on Hartwell. On the return trip after picking up the trailer I dropped my brother off just northwest of Nashville and spent a couple of days at a COE campground on Cheatham Lake visiting one of my daughters. That campground was the best I have ever stayed at. This will be the introductory trip for my wife so I'm hoping the Paynes Creek COE location is as nice as the Cheatham Dam. My wife's brother and his girlfriend are going up with us in a class c that she owns. Drop by some time.

Looks nice Dave, water on both sides. Guess you're on the way to Medora. Sorry we'll miss you, we have to take in the MB rally before we head southwest.
