USA Source for cupboard strut support
Does anyone know of a USA Source for this door hinge? One of mine has a broken plastic bushing. I tried reseating the bushing, but it will not stay down in the lower section and if the door is raised too high the hinge comes apart. I don't know what this type of hinge is called. It's probably under warranty but would most likely cost more to ship from ET than it's worth. If I can locate the part I'll just order one and replace. Thanks in advance!

Hi: Sisababe... Sorry to be a pain, but is it just the hinge or the closer too? I would think ETI would mail one gratis. Alf

From the description, it appears that the issue is with the spring-loaded strut which supports the door, not with the hinge.
Here's an example of this type of hardware, from Amazon.com
RV 6-1/4" Metal Spring Loaded Cabinet Door Strut Prop (Pack of 4)
They might come in different lengths, and possibly with different brackets on the ends, so compare those features before buying a replacement.
Shipping would cost much more than the strut is worth (since the struts are two bucks each); I would check local RV parts stores.

Thank you Alf and Brian. You are correct...it's the strut. That's what I was calling a "hinge". I will check a local source. I know ET would send me one but it's so expensive for them to ship...if I can find it locally I'd rather do that. I sure appreciate your response!

If you plan on attending the rally, I know Escape will bring things there for pick up, did it in the past.

ETI seems to ship US bound items from Sumas sometimes. We had to replace our window and needed to pay shipping they shipped it out of Sumas. The LED light replaced by warranty came from Sumas as well.

Hi Sisababe, since you have nothing to lose, you could try smearing a little bit of glue on the outer bushing and reset. When dry add a drop of oil on piston shaft.
