washing and waxing the beast

whew! yesterday we washed and waxed our 19' for the first time. It took us the better part of 5 hours! ....I really sympathize for any husband or wife who has to do this job by themselves! There's a market for young people....I'd be willing to pay a young person to do this for us! The worst part was sitting up on the roof and leaning in to wax the center of it! Glad it's over with!

Wow - good for you (and your trailer!)
What product(s) did you use?

It is alot of hard work that will pay off if you keep up on it. Just imagine years down the road your trailer will still look great !

I am trying to do the math!!! 19 ft equals 8 hrs 15 should be 5-6 hrs My arms and shoulders would like a 15 ft and the rest of me is very happy with the 19 ft then .

Re: washing and waxing the beast

I've spent a good four hours or more on the roof of my 17B this afternoon.

I washed the whole trailer and then went to work on sap and other "stuff" on the roof. Then I coated it with NuFinish.
It's something I should have done long ago as some of the sap has left a lighter spot of gel coat.

Tomorrow, I will attack the sides with Bug'n'Tar and NuFinish.

It's a good way to spend the long weekend, not that I get long weekends since I retired a month ago...
