Wiring question

Is there any reason to avoid having 2 butt splice wire connectors in the same wire run? I believe it's probably ok, but still wondering about it.

Had to replace my propane detector. I wanted to keep the wires at a good length, so I cut the wires where they entered the old detector and used butt connectors to connect the new detector. So now each wire has 2 butt connectors. One where the trailer wire meets wire from the old detector, and a second butt where wire from the old detector meets wire from the new detector. Thanks.

No, as long as the connections are well done it's unlikely to be a problem.

There are very few circuits in the trailer that don't have more than one splice.

For an item like a detector I use a spade terminal so that I can replace it in the future without cutting wires again.
